    Sometimes used by Americans(or very rarely British)if talking to an Irish person.
    Unlikely to be used by an irish born person except maybe occasionally in an ironic way.

    I'd tend to use it in a humourous manner rather than the ironic side, which I actually never knew existed ..

    Would it be an idea for Irish girls to mention the county that they are from,;;;;;or failing that the Province that they are from.
