the reason why this case is up and running is because the other lad was found not guilty. if they both had been found guilty evans would still be in jail and definietly wouldnt have a chance of appeal. the juries verdicts were inconsistent with each other and that is unconsciously giving rise to the whole debacle.

They weren't inconsistent. The first guy met the female in a pizza shop and she willingly went back to the hotel with him. He texted Evans to say he had a bird. Evans then persuaded the receptionist to give him a key to the room, and when he had finished he exited the hotel via the fire escape. Not exactly glorious behaviour on the part of the first male but consent inferred due to the fact she was on CCTV willingly going back to the taxi to collect food and walking unaided back in, alone.

Oh, I think quite a lot of employers would be objecting to a rape conviction, yes. The girl wasn't dragged back to the room with the first man, no. Nor did she make the hotel receptionist give Ched Evans a key. If he was so sure he had done nothing wrong, why leave by a fire escape afterwards, triggering an alarm? I'm sure there will be someone else to kick a ball for Sheffield United. I strongly believe you can't make heroes out of rapists, regardless of talent. If he was worried about being recognised, perhaps he should have told the other two males who were filming the event through the window on their mobile phones ( footage used to convict him) to have been slightly more discreet. Ched Evans is a rapist. Back in 2011, he raped a 19-year-old woman who was too drunk to give consent. His friends are thought to have watched him rape her. When the case went to trial, Evans was sentenced to jail for five years.

He hasn’t admitted his crime, or apologised, or spoken up about the blurred lines of consent. In sum, he hasn’t shown any public signs of rehabilitation

Now if anyone thinks this scumbag should be given a second chance at this time then they are in same moral league as the scumbag himself.


He raped a young lady who was too intoxicated to defend herself. That is simply unforgiveable.
The bastard should have been locked away for 10 years and made to serve his full time. He should have been forced to do rehabilitation and make a formal apology to the lady and not released until he had done so.
He has in no way paid for his crime and so should not be given a second chance........
