Fort Lauderdale is only one in a growing number of cities that have passed legislation targeting the homeless. With the harsh American winters a lot of these people have been moving south to places where the streets are warmer so that's where most of these laws are being enacted. There's not enough attention given to how many of this new breed of homeless are veterans either, where's all that great patriotic support for the troops when they need it the most?

Because food is dangerous! Some U.S legislators are dumb and out of touch with reality.

he was feeding them at the beach (what does he think they are swans ) which is not a designated feeding area says the article

No, they don't actually stop people feeding the homeless, what they do is make it only legal to feed the homeless in designated areas. Unfortunately for the homeless these areas are far away from the downtown areas, it's just another method to ship a problem out of a specific area into another, then once it's there their city looks pretty again as there are no homeless hanging around.

Interesting, I hadn't considered it from that angle. Although personally I'd say, to correct your comparison, the legislators in this case would equate to Rhuhama. Or rather those that pushed for the legislation.
