Yes, but that's the crux, if he could realistically say he was just sub letting then the only way to convict him would be if they actually caught him there. Otherwise you would just have no case.

How did they prove the " knowingly "
    or did he admit it.
Seems to me he struck a deal.
A guilty plea for a lesser charge and no jail time.

The answer is in the first post; he admitted it.

He should have pleaded not guilty and taken it to court. Unless of course he couldn't. It's interesting how it's usually the foreign nationals who plead guilty, I suspect they aren't given access to full legal advice or opt not to take it.

Yes he got bailed, but I can cope with that, as long as it doesn't fall on a Uni day and then I'm buggered.

A suspended sentence is no joke, for the 2 years or whatever it is any minor conviction such as for out of date car tax or no tv licence would trigger the full sentence and 8 mths in jail.As for Irish police targeting foreign escorts, they may well be but as likely over 95 per cent of escorts in Irl are non Irish .),the is if escorts are found in an appartment they are almost bound to be so-called foreign nationals, for which by the way I am grateful esp. the Eastern Europeans-glad to have met them ,glad to have known them.

eh yeah as long as he finds a schmuck to go along with it and say he's sub letting it from him, realistically....yeah.

In the absence of such a schmuck my dear one would hope the ability to make no comment would be useful. Apparently not. People who make statements usually incriminate themselves. Let your solicitor do the talking.
