Question Turning up with the wrong gift — has it happened to you?

OK, So you look at the ladies profile, you read the details and decide to give her a call to make an appointment. A time is set and off you go to meet her.

Once there it is best to get the business side of things sorted first and you hand over the ladies "gift" and she thanks you. If this is the first time you have met the lady the amount may be mentioned and you suddenly realise you have brought the wrong amount with you. Having been looking through so many profiles before deciding on the lady you are now with you got confused of just didn't pay attention to her requested fee and now you are short.

This particular scenario has not happened to me but I have been culpable of handing over the wrong "gift" in the past. It happened with one lady who had been advertiising a rate of €160 for an hour of her time. I continued to see her on a fairly regular basis and each time I would give her €160. There was never a big deal about this. I would leave it somewhere telling her "there is your gift"

I had not looked at her profile for some time and then one day I was looking at it as he had changed some of her photos. Suddenly I noticed that her advertised rate was now €180 for an hour of her time! I texted her immediately asking when she had changed her rate and she said a couple of weeks ago. I was so embarrassed, I asked her why she didn't tell me I had been giving her the wrong amount and she said it didn't matter and she was embarrassed to ask me for the extra €20.

I explained I hadn't looked at her profile and didn't realise. I am guessing I must have seen her 4 or 5 times times since she put up her prices. She insisted it was OK.

I arranged a meeting with her a few days later and brought the €180 plus another €100 to make up for the money I had not given her on the previous 4 or maybe 5 times. As usual she didn't look for her "gift" so I left it on the locker as I was going for a shower. When I came back it was in the same place. I then explained again how sorry I was and that I hope I was "up to date now". She looked a tad confused at me. I said I have given her what I thought I had left her short. At that point she picked up her gift and counted it and looked at me..... She refused point blank to not only take the extra €100 but also the €20 for her new rate.

She said she knew it was an innocent mistake and as I had been seeing her before she put up her rates she was happy for me to give her €160 for an hour of her time.

I got the feeling the entire episode was embarrassing for both of us. Since then I keep going back to to check the rates on any ladies profile I am going back to visit just in case.

She sounds like a great lady, and I think you both did the right things.

    I wouldn't sweat it.

I have never been in that situation but if i was i would have done the same as you. And as gonzo76 said she really sounds like a great lady and it was very sweet of her not to accept the extra money.

Basically I was so familiar with her I had no need to look at the profile so didn't notice that she had changed her rates — she was really cool about it

I don't think you should feel embarrassed. It was an honest mistake and these things happen from time to time.

We don't all check the profile of a regular girl before we visit again to see if her rates have changed.

I think that her reaction shows that she values you as a decent regular client more than the odd €20 here or there.

No it hasn't happened to me Petros as never bring gifts, unless at xmas, surely choosing / booking that lady and handing over the correct amount of cash is gift enough to any lady.
