Oh dear....let me explain......the title and what you think is a tautology...now sit quiet and listen....America is two continents North and South and includes a good number of countries besides the U.S.A. Now, although it is technically wrong in English language usage we refer to the U.S. as America. However, this is only something understood as a given by native English speakers and possibly Europeans. On the other hand, if you have any experience or knowledge of South America and South Americans then they take umbrage at the U.S. being synonymous with the term America. For them America equally refers to their own continent. As Alexander Pope once said "A little learning is a dangerous thing." Needless to say, as there are many fine people from Brazil and other countries from South America, the title was created to make it clear to these fine people.
