    Default BDSM and the law

Although it hasn't been specifically mentioned anywhere that I'm aware of, it's probably fair to assume that even 'no sex' dommes will be classed as sex workers under the pending new laws. Therefore visiting them would be classed as a criminal offence.

Are there any BDSM clubs in Belfast / NI or any other ways of meeting like-minded individuals without direct payment being involved? A quick look at fetlife doesn't suggest there is much of a thriving local scene but I'm happy to be proved wrong.

Check out FetLife.com with local groups. You might find however, Belfast is too small to maintain anonymity. Dublin is better for it. However, it's the place where you should start from if you thinking BDSM.
    Good luck x

    BTW u r Dom/Sub/Switch?

If those working in the Fetish business know the new laws surrounding it, many would not be doing it. Loll But since 2 years ago the law changed due to what happened and now even include Bulques artist as the "sexy industry". The Goverment has it all sewed up to catch you which ever way you turn.loll.

The best clubs are in the London and Germany but there are so many different clubs and other event for all types of fetishes so it would all depend on what your into.

However I do take slaves and subs out on UK fetish event and the next ones I will be at will be in December

I just can't fathom how engaging in BDSM could be considered to be in breach of any current or any future laws as it offends nobody and it's purely consensual and involves no sex most of the time

Unfortunately there is a growing feminist-driven movement against BDSM. I've had a few online arguments with people of both sexes who see BDSM as abuse and a perversion and in fairness the 'Fifty Shades' phenomenon really hasn't helped.

These people consider that (female) consent to BDSM is impossible in the same way some argue that paid sex is non-consensual.

We've also recently seen the banning of certain acts in British-made BDSM porn (including face sitting and female squirting bizarrely enough) and this seems to be the thin end of the wedge. Basically certain elements of feminism are acting in a similar way to religious puritans and in some cases joining forces with them.

As with the current sex buyer law, consent is irrelevant -- it's all about disapproval.

That is a good question you ask...here is an answer...as long as there is no sex it is not breaking the law. A Pro Dominatrix does not do sex.. it gets tricky with strap on.. technically that is sex...wheither or not that is considered breaking the law is up to the proseqeuter..thats is spelt in correctly sorry...a client sub..slave..what ever you go by will never have sex with a Dominatrix...the only exception to the rule i guess would be if your were actually in a Dom/sub relationship with Her...then your ass is grass to be mowed as much as She wishes and its usually consensual.... any thing involving a fee..tribute or exchange of money is considered a service. An escort is not a Dominatrix and viser versa, though many do not know that and it can confuse some people because a Dominatrix may advertise on an escort site, its usually for cost as owning or maintaining a web page is rather costly.
A Pro Dominatrix is what Her profession is...Professional... She does not sell sex.
it is a fine line to draw.. is oral worship considered oral sex ?...as with many Doms,Dommes,Pro Dominatrix and sub and slave i hope not because there is nothing like a good rim job... or what ever rocks your boat.
