I've been off the bike for 2 months as I was training for something else, but normally clock 200k+ a week but don't cycle every day.

In answer to another question, I use different bikes, with different weights and gearing to push myself out of comfort zones.

you must be fit to accomplish that with a good racer. used to do that.
now i cycle less distance and take my time to enjoy it.

I am in pretty good shape all things considered, but you are right about enjoying whats around you, went out with friend for slow cycle and it was amazing how much i was not seeing as normally I am pushing hard and need to stay focused on the road. I might go out a do a few slow runs and enjoy the sights but I like to stay fit so it will stay at fast pace most of the time.
