Just heard the lovely Catriona on the radio with Neil Prenderville this morning talking in tremendous detail about all the ins and outs of the sex industry.

Very well spoken and came across very well. I thought she gave a great insight into the industry and showed it in a positive light, the only thing I would say is it sounded a small bit ridiculous when she refused to answer how much she made before eventually saying 40k a year when we all know any decent escort will make that in 2-3 months!

Apart from that little point, very well done to Catriona.

I didn't hear the interview, but it is a credit to Catriona that she was prepared to be interviewed on the radio about the sex industry. I'm not sure how relevant her income is, tbh, as long as she doesn't have to hand over half of it to a pimp/agency.

It's also quite possible that the figure of €40k per annum is accurate, after deduction of all her business costs, including advertising,hotel/apartment accommodation, travel, clothing, telephone, hairdressing, make up, condoms, and other assorted gadgets.

I still think the 40k figure sounded a bit silly though because she also said she could have up to 5 clients a day at 200 euro an hour. I have had many escorts tell me that they could clear 4-5k in a good week so this adds up to a lot more over the year.

Anyway, that is a side issue and well done to Catriona for speaking so openly about her work and also to the presenter who sounded very much on the side of the sex workers.
