Default Criminalising of purchase of sex almost certain to go ahead

Judging by comments made today by Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald it looks as if the Criminalising of the purchase of sex is a done deal. Basically she said she saw no good reason not to pursue this coarse of action and it really looked as
if she has made her mind up on the issue.
I really think the lady is not for turning and with the issue being so sensitive i cant see anybody going to take her on politically, so once she has her mind made up and legislation is drafted i think it will in all probability become law
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed

But how "carefully" is she actually examining it I wonder?

Surprised by this as I expected a different approach from this female Minister for Justice

This will initially scare the punters away in huge volumes.. She'd be better off going after real crime than this pleasurable business.. I see she is using the "trafficking" card to justify the law.. What she doesn't seem to realise that this site serves a purpose and is relatively benign in the scheme of things and the criminal side of sex trafficking will continue unabated IMO.
Easy win for her with no obvious downside for her politically as there will be no challengers..... and absolute bullshit.. How does one prove payment for sex unless they set you up US style.. So it might be tough for "new" girls to break into the business.
Maybe she should be invited to became a member here..

Surely if the Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald was really interested in stamping out trafficking she should be providing resources to combat that particular issue. What it looks like she intends to do is task an already over stretched Garda force with implementing an unenforceable law which has nothing to do with actually tackling the issue of trafficking.

NI is going to be held up with the new report and another setback that is to come.
Frances will realise the Constitutional difficulties and it will be left upon the back boiler.
