    Unhappy Alvin Stardust dead, aged 72

    Singer Alvin Stardust has died aged 72.
    He had recently been diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer.
    He was born Bernard Jewry in the East End of London in 1942.

    Another celebrity from my youth gone.
