Jesus there are so many generalisations in this portion of your post alone, it is actually staggering. Whether you believe it or not, yes I did pay redundancy to the guys who work for me. As I was obliged to do by law. I could have (according to my accountant) gotten away without paying them and letting the government look after it, but I didn't.

And to say most guys in the construction industry are self employed is grossly inaccurate. If this were the case how do you account for the fact that there are building firms, like mine operating at all?? And also to suggest that they don't get paid when they don't work is also very misleading. This may have been the case years ago but the industry has changed greatly. It is still the case for many, but it's certainly not as common as it was. Most of the guys who work for me, with the exception of ''seasonal'' part timers get paid a salary.

They earned every cent of it and it broke my heart that I had found myself in a position where I was left in no choice but to give it to them. Cop on.

And Just so you know there is no longer a rebate for employers (as of sometime last year) and the rebate that applied to me was 15% for 3 guys. When you are in a position that you are letting guys go from your small business you will realise how little that is really worth, smart ass.

I agree to a point. If a guys is out of work for a week or even a month pushing it, fair enough. But there is zero excuse, with the exception of illness or injury for being out of work for 6 months like that absolute dud.

And getting your end away is not a need. Food, water, shelter, clothing are all needs. Visiting escorts is a desire and a want. One that I should not have to pay for someone else to enjoy when I work hard enough to allow myself the same pleasures.
