Well, if you have been to Northern Ireland then I think you will find that you have been to Ireland

Was it the ireland part of the name that gave it away?

I thought Northern Ireland and Ireland were separate? No? And anytime I have met an Irish man, he's said they are nothing like the Northern Irish as they are just different people. I could be wrong but that's what I've been told x

I know it's the same country, I'm not completely stupid but I thought the were separate which is why I either say Ireland or Northern Ireland like they are 2 different places all together x

Spoken as a true business woman who has just announced one last day in Dublin pre holidays

Regardless ...and most importantly , enjoy the holidays and just make sure you come back (even if only to me as appropriate for being cynical)

The island of Ireland is made up of 32 counties - 6 are in Northern Ireland and 26 are in the Republic of Ireland.

    All TD,s are pricks
    He isn't worse per se
But he is spineless and that's possibly a worse trait for a country leader than Ahern being corrupt or Cowen being an easily led village idiot.
(He may not have been in power while Fine Fail walked us into the recent crash...but he was in opposition and despite his protests now ,he was remarkably silent and just as willing to enjoy the good times before things went arse about face.)
I couldn't respect a "leader" who shies away from every instance of public debate since coming to power anyway.
