Me and meeting women in clubs, bars or anywhere for that matter has nearly always turned into an unmitigated disaster! I just gave up.

Since discovering the wonderful world of escorts I have found a revived interest in women. OK, I am paying these drop dead gorgeous ladies for their time and companionship and to be nice to me - I know none of them would look twice at me if we met for the first time in a bar or club. But being able to spend time in their company I have I have found a number of ladies who actually have their head screwd on to their shoulders and not stuck up their arse like so many girls I have met in the past here in Ireland!

This became so obvious one night in a pub in town, I was out for a few drinks with a lady who is an escort but this was a social evening - I saw this guy approach an Irish girl and start to talk to her. He was not pushy and was dressed well. Both were at the bar ordering drinks, he was in a round while she was buying one drink for herself. He offered to pay for her drink and she accepted without hesitation. Then while he was paying for the drinks she turned and walked off. He turned around and the look of surprise on his face said it all.

He saw I had seen the whole thing and said to me "she could have at least said thanks". I just noded.

The problem with going out hoping to meet a girl in a bar or club is that it is so random. There is also the problem that beer is involved in the equation. The longer the search takes the more drink is consumed. This leads to to negative issues - beer goggles and brewers droop - neither of which lead to great sex IMO - that is of course if you actually manage to pull on your night out.

Sometimes this ramdomness can be exciting and can lead to a fantastic time between the sheets but more often than not I find you just spend a load of money and wake up with a headache.

I won't be going to the pub or club tonight but I know I will have a fantastic time with a really lovely lady

If i'm been honest i'd have to say that i am getting to a point in my life that yes i would love to meet a nice girl and even settle down but the fact of the matter is i'm just crap at picking girls up in a bar or club. have to admit theres nothing better when the girl is actually into you some escorts have great gfe and you have a high for an hour or so depending on how good she is at her job but you always get a that hollowness and depression like coming off drugs/drink hahaha that I had to pay for that and that she'll say and do the same things to next guy and next, whereas waking up to a girl the next day can't really beat that

Yes of course it's a lifestyle choice, I didn't mean that in a derogatory way, I was just replying directly to another poster who said that going to escorts was a lazy way to meet women. I somewhat agree with him, but it obviously suits some people and from my own personal point of view I would much prefer to visit escorts then chase women in bars & clubs at this moment in time.
