Thread: owo health risks

    Default owo health risks

Given the real health risks why do so many escorts advertise this service. Today 485 out of 813 female escorts advertise owo. Are there that many willing to take the risk or is this another situation where many escorts advertise services they do not provide.

    Yep.

My answer now is "covered". OWO, like CIM, once you have had it a few times and "got the t-shirt" as it were, you realise it is not that necessary. Especially if it is risky. As you say, can only be lucky a certain number of times.

    Is Oral Sex that risky?
I have Googled it a few times.
[Caveat = I am not a Doctor and I am possibly getting it wrong]
    My understanding is=

HIC/Aids. There is a theoretical risk to both giver and receiver, but there has never been a proven case. Opinion seems to be the risk is very small, even if you are a sex worker.

Syphilis. The lesions that transmit Syphilis appear very rarely on the lips so receiving oral sex is fairly safe.
(It is also uncommon for the lesions to appear on the nipple.)

The lesions usually appear on the genitals or the anus, so giving Oral Sex can be a risk. However, Syphilis is now an uncommon disease in both Britain and Ireland so the overall risk of contracting it by any means, even if you are a sex worker, is small.

Gonorrhoea, however is more common. It can be transmitted to the throat during oral sex, especially fellatio.

In 2011, Doctors estimated that 1.9 per cent of London sex workers had unsuspected gonorrhoea in their throats. It's likely that they would give the germ to men whom they hard oral sex with.

Chlamydia. Very common, especially in young adults. It's estimated that in some parts of the UK at least 10 per cent of younger adults have it. It is thought that it can be transmitted by oral sex, particularly fellatio.

In May 2011, researchers from University College London estimated that 4 per cent of London sex workers had Chlamydia in their throats. Doctors at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals found that about 1 per cent of their gay male patients were carrying Chlamydia in the throat.

Herpes simplex virus (HSV). It is the commonest cause of genital ulceration. HSV is highly infectious and usually sexually transmitted.

HPV. It is carried by many people. There are about 120 different strains of it. Some of them can cause warts, including genital warts. Others can cause cancer – notably cervical cancer and also anal cancer. It has become increasingly clear that today's high rates of oral sex are linked to the rising incidence of throat and mouth cancer, caused by HPV.

Quick conclusion. HIC/AIDS and Syphilis. Very unlikely to be transmitted by Oral Sex.
Gonorrhoea, Chlamydia, Herpes and HPV are a realistic risk.

Again, I am not a Doctor and I am possibly getting it wrong.
