it needs to be pointed out to dipshits that

there is nothing illegal about visiting a brothel (definition covered in thread already) but if raided and you are there you could be called as a witness during the court case (so for most thats worse than it being illegal )
the only other thing illegal is shagging a minor (under 17) or a trafficked victim if proven to be so.

forget the legalities of what the escort is doing wrong, its irrelevant to clients and just confuses the simple minds round here

The law (as I understand it ) states that two or more ladies found in or on a premises in the process of engaging or offering sexual favours is an offence and as such the courts deems such a property to be acting as a brothel contrary to law, and the people therein are subject to potential prosecution for engaging or offering such favours. Equally any male found in such a property is deemed to be engaging in the services of prostitution and therefore subject to a potential court appearance and their name noted on sex register file.

I was just going to mention this too. How on earth can an adult be put on the sex register list for having sex with another consenting adult?

Sexual Assault
Aggravated Sexual Assault
Incest
Defilement of a girl under 15 years
Defilement of a girl 15 – 17 years
Buggery with an animal
Attempt to commit such buggery
Buggery of a person under 17 years
Acts of gross indecency
Sexual offences against mentally impaired persons
Offences under the Child Trafficking and pornography Act, 1998
Sexual offences committed outside Ireland contrary to Sexual Offences (Jurisdiction) Act, 1996
An offence of attempting to commit any offence referred to above
An offence of aiding, abetting, counselling, procuring or inciting any offence referred to above
An offence consisting of conspiracy to commit any offence referred to above.
