    Default Irish Accents

I have always wanted to meet a girl with a strong accent.

My favourite would be a wee Northern accent
Next a Cork or Kerry accent.
And then there are the Cavan and Donegal accents
Or are these only used by men nowadays
Or is it all gone as a result of this third level education

Does anyone else feel Like Bollocks ? ?

I don't think third level education had anything to do with a persons accent. If anything it will be their primary school education and family upbringing that will have formed their accent.

I also believe that the abundance of US TV shows being watched has a serious affect on some peoples accent and vocabulary.

Agreed Bollocks, you tend to meet girls from rural Ireland with faux american accents they developed after 6 months when in College in Dublin. Shopping in Abercrombie too much probably

The Irish aren’t usually big contenders when it comes to worldwide competitions, but they win this one hands down. From the soft lilt of the North to the cheeky tones of Dublin, there’s something special about the Irish. There’s no denying that they have a way with words and are masters of storytelling – they’ll have you so bamboozled that you’ll walk away not quite sure whether you’ve been praised or insulted. It’s likely that the new-found popularity of the brogue amongst women is thanks to such heart-breakers as Colin Farrell, Liam Neeson and Michael Fassbender.

The Donegal accent was voted the most sexiest in Ireland some time back. I am not at all surprised.

Northern irish (I know theres many varieties...but in general) or Donegal
I have a curiosity about one irish lady and have had for a while....but I don't think it appropriate to just ask her like a caveman what accent she has............Hopefully a review someday will let it slip and ill be enlightened.
