What's going on in Dublin 18?

So I went to Dublin 18 today at around 11.30am to meet an escort as arranged yesterday evening. Now the arrangement was loose, as in ''Phone me half an hour before coming'' or words to that effect.

I phoned 30 minutes before I wanted to see the escort, she was not available till 3.

Fair enough.

I never travel without a back-up plan, and I never see escorts on my own doorstep, too risky.

Anyway, I phoned and made appointments to see several other escorts in the area, all of whom failed to answer the phone when I was at the appointed place i.e. at the apartment door / local landmark / whatever. And I mean all, in total I phoned 5 other escorts in this way. Once a boy scout always a boy scout.

At 1 o'clock I gave up, I was out of time, but I'm a bit hacked off at the waste of time.

I have met many ladies in Dublin 18 but I never got this sort of treatment before. My question is ''What the F is going on up there?'' What is causing this turmoil i.e. people not fulfilling their appointments?
