So we are going to let some Iraqis in here? I mean seriously. How stupid can a country be. The problems in these countries are mainly religious so wtf is leaving them into a country whose religion is even further from them going to do? Im all for helping persecuted people but plz, let them into a country that more suits them and their cultures / beliefs.

Apsolutely but unfortunatly the Society/Culture that would suit those down to a "T" only existed over 2,000 years ago & to me "when in Rome do like the Romans" I hate they way the different nationalities EXPECT & INSIST on we having to facilitate there culture, now if U or I went to Iraq or similar & wanted our culture imposed etc I know bliddy quick what would happen /:
& I suppose a Good Europeans we have to obide with the "Do Gooders" /: ... I read somewhere that when the immigrants from ALL OVER the world were flocking to the American shores back in the 17 hundreds some was quoted as saying ... "The suirs are overflowing & Europe is Vomiting" .... I know we cant "Tar all with the same Brush" but at least keep Ur own corner safe I say

Would you please explain to me how this guy is an ignorant bigot as I've read his posts and see nowhere in any of them that would lead me to that conclusion.
Guess what, have a look in the mirror and you might actually find that ignorant bigot staring back at you.

Alot of Mé Féiner's around at present and will probably be a lot more.

But it's his opinion, you don't agree with it then move on, he should be allowed to express his opinion without being subjected to constant badgering. He didn't deserve that.

May I remind you that you started by insulting me on this thread? Before then it was simply a discussion about the issue.


I have plenty of University education behind me and before you start supporting and defending the indefensible you should drop into the library and look up empathy and responsibility. That is what the Iraqi refugees deserve and not some trite one-liners about protecting our own.

Wouldnt call it insulting just some fair commenting as I don't like to see other people abused for giving their opinion (bad grammar ) weather rightly or wrongly,

ok fair enough but its the way you put your comments across, you force the issue, ram them down people's throats in a way.
I am well aware of what those two words mean and didn't comment on this issue.
