Just back from a high risk area but also had malaria.
In Scotland at least one person was tested, sad whats happening in the places heavily affected hope it stops spreading very very soon

yea id say its malaria. he died too soon. from first symptoms to death

Sure they will carry out tests to see if this person died of Ebola or of something else.

I tell you one thing though : Even if he died of Ebola , you can bet your bottom dollar the govt won't be racing to

acknowledge it , creating a panic.

Just as they have done w the Saudi death , and with numerous other cases.

Ebola patients - remarkably ! - do not appear sick at all until the very last stages of the infection.

And then die within days.

ah if we just drop a bomb on donegal that should sort it out......

seriously though, i think because of the superior health service here and the vaccine ZMAPP, id say it would be ok. If there was an outbreak (low chance) we would contain it. To put it in the context, malaria has killed millions more and yet we are worried about ebola....

then again im laid back and dont really care about much in life

On a side note :

It would appear that this would be the time to pick up some pharma stock in the company that makes ZMapp .

Apparently the two Americans evacuated to Atlanta earlier have recovered , and Doc Brantly just gave a statement

in public , with hugs and all. Good news for them ; good news for all x

In the meantime the Liberian doctors (3) who have received the same experimental drug apparently are showing a

remarkable recovery.

Bad news : this drug is only experimental , will not be available to the wider public , there're no stockpiles .

Yes, concerned but not panicked.
Lucky for us it is not airborne but for a poor nurse who helped a patient out of bed and touched him briefly with no gloves on, that just shows how easy it is to to catch with direct contact.
In the areas heavily affected the roads are closed down, food not getting in and farmers not sowing crops so food shortages expected next year.
