Ok so, firstly may I just say that I'm not trying to belittle any of the serious addictions people suffer from, far from it.....

However,

Alcoholics have AA (Alcoholics Anonymous)
Drug Addicts have NA (Narcotics Anonymous)
The depressed have the Samaritans.....

But,

What about those guys addicted to visiting escorts?
Who have they got?
And don't try telling me they don't exist.....it's plain for all to see who spend anytime on the boards that they do!

I'm lucky enough to be able to control my urges and not let visiting escorts stop me from paying my bills and leading a relatively normal, uneventful life (as are the majority I suspect!)....but I got thinking about the guys who live outside their means to see escorts. Who is there to help such guys? Nobody right!!

And, (whispers!!!) -are any escorts here brave enough to admit they have no issues with fleecing such guys??

Some good points there. I can go for months without visiting an escort then I might visit a few in a short time period. It normally happens when some of my favourite escorts are in town, like in July I visited 5 in 4 weeks (damn you beautiful women :P) but I always make sure its money that I have spare and not money used for bills.

I don't think its a case of escorts fleecing these guys. If they don't service the guy someone else will.
Maybe someone might be able to shed more light on the addiction side of it ?

This subject is not touched on too much on this site but I would imagine that many guys are addicted to escorts. Like all addictions it only becomes a problem when it affects your life. Addiction to escorts like everything starts small, a 30 min booking every now and again, then a 45min booking, then 1 hour, then 1hr 30, then 2 hours, 3 hours, 9 hours, 12 hours, then it's every week, every second day, then every day, then twice a day then 3 times a day, distance becomes irrelevant, you will travel anywhere to see the object of your addiction, you only focus is the object of your addiction, you will do anything, endure anything, suffer horrendous pain, humiliate yourself beyond what you thought you ever would, everything else comes secondary, all you can see is the object of
your addiction. It consumes you, work suffers, your normal life suffers, money disappears, problems arise, but these things are all irrelevant as the object of your addiction is all you see. You promise yourself I will not go tomorrow but once tomorrow comes you can't help but make that call, you will go without food, you will opt out of nights out, you will do whatever it takes to feed your addiction.

That is how I imagine being addicted to an escort is but I wouldn't know anything about that

I doubt if more than 0.5% of posters here have what could be described as a serious addiction to escorts , by addiction I mean completely taking over their lives .They also have the means ,unlike people with gambling,drink,drug addiction , of relieving their cravings so perhaps its not as immediate an addiction problem as a drug addict needing a fix -NOW -
So a client seeing an escort once a week is most likely spending less money than the average smoker on his addiction and lets face it 30 minutes with some ,if not any, of the ladies here is better than a gym workout

Interesting point ,but you dont have to be addicted to an escort to be taken advantage of surely ?
One escort I saw quiet a lot of and ,long gone from our shores ,use my attraction to her to in your words " fleece " me .The real harm in that kind of situtation is not the lost of money but the emotional harm it causes ,when your trust in a person is taken advantage of that way it can really be a turning point , do you A become suspictious of everyone thats might ask for help and harden your heart , or B follows mothers advice -" fool me once shame on you ,fool me twice shame on me " either way it leaves a sadness when you consider that someone you liked and trusted thought of you only as a fool with money

Also I disagree with the not needing it now, if your addicted to an escort and she is only a phone call away then you will struggle thorough the day and the urge to see her will come over you and you want to see her now. If your lucky you will only have to wait 20-30 mins but you want it ASAP. If your not addicted to something you will not understand how urgent your "fix" can become.
If you are suggesting wanking is a cure for the addiction it really only puts it at bay until you can see her, even then wanking is not an option as you need to see the escort.

Of course I have no way of knowing how many people use the site and not post , I estimated that percentage on observing the posts here over the last 18 months or so , my post was more in the view of addiction to escorts rather than one particular escort - as would appear in your case - with that in mind then yes wanking would/does offer some relief ,relief that say a drug addict or gambling addict cannot get and lets face it is a relief that does not cost in money terms unlike a drug addict ,I do agree with you that it is possible to be addicted to sex but also consider there are clients using this site who do pay 100 euro a week to escorts and their only income is social welfare allowance so in effect 75% of their income ,as you say its not the amount that matters but the all consuming effect of the addiction on your life and the effect on those around you

i'm fairly choosy which helps to lessen visits. if i feel i'm spending too much
i can't enjoy myself with the guilt i get. visiting escorts is not always appropriate.

Ill prob be contradicted for trying to point out my interpretation of the difference between an escort (a genuine one) and a prostitute again but......
I see an escort as a professional lady,usually of class,who provides a service that she will get some form of enjoyment or thrill from too(a very frequent client who has obvious issues with being "addicted" probably holds less appeal than the ladies fascination with cash........she could choose to vary her clients and accept bookings from new clients and still maintain the same revenue............so less likely to "fleece" a client purely based on financial reasons)

A prostitute (regardless of whether they call themselves an escort) in my eyes is the woman with less regard for the quality of service or the clients dwindling bank balance ,than she is about quantity of appointments and not looking or caring where the next payday comes from.(Very likely to "fleece" anyone that is fleeceable)

Escorting is the "oldest profession" and entails some attention to detail
Prostitution is a service provided that incorrectly gets the term profession tagged on by the masses

(Expecting at least some accusations that im deluding myself...so bring it on)
