As they say, "youth is wasted on the young". Very true. Hindsight is always a wonderful thing, and there are many occasions where I look back and wonder what my life would be like now if I made different choices. As we grow older, we learn, but by the time we have enough common sense to make more informed decisions, it is too late.

For these reasons, I tend to deal with the 'now' and not dwell too much on 'what could have been'. Maybe in a different life I would have traveled more in my youth rather than be a father so young, I would have avoided my ex-wife or even had taken a different course in college. The thing is, I've had bad times and got through them, and I am in a good place now, and I am here because of the choices I made in life, good and bad, so ultimately I am here now because of my past, so I will make the most of it.

I often wonder where I'd be if I had followed my dream and became a ballet dancer.

Instead of becoming a doctor. Gynaecology becomes so boring after a few years.
