I have to say I don't think I agree with this.

To date I have generally dispayed not too much sympathy to those who are called names, then call names back, then complain.... The "I want that c*** banned because he called me a c***" crowd, as we affectionately call them in here

In some cases I have felt the one who started it was clearly the real baddie of the two, but I've still felt that because both used the same offensive language to each other, it is only fair I punish both if I am going to punish one.

A classic case of this was when Bigpaws wound Westside up something rotten one time. West used way more offensive language in his reply, but it was Paws who started it I felt, and I couldn't help feeling if I was West I'd have told Paws where to go in no uncertain terms either. I punished both equally in that case as I felt I had to, but I didn't feel right about it. And indeed when they both came back under 2nd usernames, I let them, as essentially I wasn't confident in the justice I'd handed out.

In other cases however, I've felt that it is a total joke to say you want someone banned for calling you a c*** when you've just called them a c*** back... That if people seriously consider some offensive language towards them grounds for banning, they should PM me as soon as it happens, not spend half an hour posting abuse back and then PM me like they are 100% innocent and the other party is 100% gulity.

This is a tough one for me. I'm still thinking about it.

I think I defo have a problem with only punishing the one who started it as a rule though, as I think that rule will encourage more shit.

So fair enough punish both but I do think the one that starts it out of nowhere should be punished more as although the second partie should not lower themselves, we all are human so I feel the one that kicks it off and by kicking it off I am talking about the totally wrong personally insulting comments or references to family, sexual orientation and the like, not the odd c or b words necessarily should get banned as this is an adult site and if someone replied in kind then they should get half the length of ban that the aggressor got so if the one that starts with the verbals gets 2 months in hollyhead then those that respond in lesser or equal measure gets 1 month or if respond worse they get 4 months.

But I feel more of an example has to be made of the one that starts it as a few strong and lengthy bannings Pat will work wonders on peoples manners and after a while your workload will decrease but your workload will never end if you only hand out a week or month for serious things as its no good and worthless if they just use another name to continue the fight. If they use another name but don’t continue the aggression but we all know it’s the same person then that’s ok as the banning has still achieved its purpose in modifying their behavior but if they at any point start up again then ban that username also and all known aliases.

If you do this you need to come down like a tonne of bricks on ‘everyone’ from the get go and I guarantee the place will self police in no time apart from the odd flare up now and them, community alert works better then a police state but the inhabitants have to know that consequences will arise if they step out of line and also they can rely on the police You] to be fair and impartial otherwise as we all now see anarchy prevails.

The problem with punishing both equally is what will happen is some one will set up a disposable profile and bait someone who they have a grudge against and get both banned but its no big deal for the person who did that so I feel if someone is a newbie or registered for a long time but not posted much but out of nowhere gets hostile against a regular then in that scenario the newbie should be treated as a fifth columnist and only they should be banned no matter how someone responded to them as it would be obvious they only set up profile to get someone banned.

Or an alternative would be to put both of them in a cooler cell section all of their own so they can only post to each other and no one else can post to them and let them trash it out between themselves. And I think anyone banned should also not be able to pm anyone for the length of the ban.

I would appreciate it if people could propose items to include and comment on what should be a banning offence temporary or permanent.

e.g. Publishing a clients real first name - Banned for 1 Month

It won't be possible to include everything, but it would be good to list some clear offences and the consequences.

    Thank you
Are you sure that your real name is not Hamlet? This is your website and you are an intelligent fair-minded woman. post your own rules and ban who you want. You will quickly be told whether you are being too lenient or too harsh.
Is there a half-way between banning or not? Could offenders have their posts suspended until reviewed by a moderator as reviews are? If they persist in offending they will then be fully banned.

I’ve read your posts Dreamon and you always comment on what’s best for here and are always fair and was hoping you would add your input along with others who also have done and yes its her site but its our (Escorts and Clients) forum and she is giving us our say. I would be interested in any other thoughts you have or ideas and would also love more input from the Escorts as they are mostly the ones who get insulted and bullied here and have the most to lose. I understand if they would rather not comment here so maybe Pat could put up a similar thread in Escort private section as some things they would like may differ from the Clients. This is the best chance we have of riding oursselves of the cancer of abuse that rules this place of late so I ask all to add their voice.

The half way measure could be by sending them to the soap opera section the way Liz was. That way they will learn the error of their ways. They will feel left out of things if their restricted to one section. I agree with what Eddie is saying the offender and the person that is been if offended should also be banned. But different sentences for each. Half the time for the person that retiliates. It's a bit like in football a player goes in with a 2 footed tackle that could damage his opponent. He gets a red card. But if the victim starts mouthing off to the referee he gets a yellow card. If he retiliates in a violent way he should get the same punishment a red card.
Help Keyla in her fight with cancer. Every little helps.
It could happen to any of us.

Can I add one rule that I think the ladies will most appreciate, there is a section on this site for the escort's to advertise (Escort Ireland Community > Adverts > Touring Escorts) now I noticed that when a lady puts up an advert some smart-arse always comes along and fecks it up with a smart or underhand comment, I really feel this is unfair to the escorts, plenty of other places on the site for them to post their crap, is it possible to give the rights to the person that crates the thread within this section to remove any unwanted posts?? Just a taught!!

I am sorry that you are disappointed with me. Patricia puts up these "consultation" threads on a regular basis and everyone is very impressed with being consulted. I think that they are often an excuse for doing nothing. I have picked this thread from the botton of the page. In another hour or so, it would have slipped to page 2 and been lost forever. In the meantime we all believe that Patricia is doing something about the ugliness on the boards but nothing is happening. If Patricia is genuine about trying to do something, she should publish her rules and look for comments on them.

I think you picked up on me wrong. I am not disappointed and meant that you do comment and say what’s best and wish more notice was paid to you by admin and agree that all this is pointless if not acted upon but credit where credit is due she asked first and if nothing happens in the next week or two after new rules are posted then we all will know this was only a delaying tactic but hope springs eternal in even the bleakest of situations and glass half full eh Dreamon. Don’t dream its over as Paul Young might say or Barrack Obama’s, ‘yes we can’. We will know soon enough if its just four more years of Bush [sorry]
