I must have been very lucky — this has never happened to me. All the ladies I have visited have given me excellent directions. I only came unstuck once but to be fair it was like entering a maze — I coulld not blame the lady at all in that case.

Some guys pull out dont show very late due to nerves and such, IMO no shows/time wasters comes with the job. There are always going to be these situations.
