I've not watched this series before, but it started while I was busy doing something else and I glanced up to watch it now and again.

The victim in today's case sells apple sauce and happens to be a part-time Escort. She apparently got killed by a 'jack the ripper' impersonator.

Now... they have what is left of the body and they get the news that she was also a part-time Escort. The guy says it is interesting and starts working out connections, while the lady says she would call it 'sad, not interesting'.

Later on in the programme they find she has some drug in her system and the conclusion is that she would of course use anything she could to kill the pain of being a prostitute and they were looking for her 'pimp'.

I can't believe this is a modern day series, with such shit attitudes. Every cliche in the book is being used or expected. I wonder if things will ever progress, or is the stigma here to stay?

Does anyone have any examples of a series where Sex Workers have been portrayed in a more realistic light?
