I know there are certain clubs who are aimed at younger people and others at over-30's but if it's just a regular club then at what age do you think people start to look a little bit out of place?
id say around 30 would be too old. Clubbing is a younger persons scene.

I always thought the rule was, you're too old when you think the music is too loud.
But if the music is rubbish to begin with it's always too loud so depends on the club really.

An old boy in a young club staring at young ones sounds a bit ropey though.

Can't agree with this at all but it did remind me of something I noticed about people in their 30's. They seem to be split into 2 groups; the young at heart group who still wear jeans and t-shirts and don't take themselves too seriously and the "mature" group who suddenly start wearing pants and shirts in the evenings (chinos and a Ralph Lauren shirt with perhaps a blazer would be considered casual for this group). A sort of 35 going on 55 type mentality who take on a middle-aged personality way too early. I'd definitely be in the first group. I'm reasonably mature and responsible (job, house, car, PHD) but I still consider myself young in the greater scheme of things.

From speaking to friends I think if you're single and you don't attempt to use the same dance moves that you used when you were 21 then you should get away with clubbing until your late 30's but after that it starts looking a bit "odd" as a few of them put it
