You can be friends with a plumber or carpenter. They are both tradesmen who provide a service but when you get them to do a job for you they will naturally charge you. You dont expect either of them to do the job for free. But then you dont expect either of them to quote you an excessively expensive price either especially if it turns out that additional work needs to be done. This is not la la land but the land of reality. A tradesman wont do a job for you if they know they wont get paid & likewise a TS/TV..
