In most cases, if a gentleman on this board called a lady a tart and told her to f off, I'd say that was out of line, but you are really bringing this on yourself Lizzy by winding everyone up. Ireland suffered greatly under British rule. The problems of Northern Ireland are fresh in all of our minds and it wasn't so long ago that the whole of Ireland was under British rule. Many of us here grew up hearing painful stories from our parents and grandparents of British occupied Ireland.

And many of us here are also old enough to remember the severe racism Irish people were subjected to in the UK for many years, like the signs outside bed and breakfasts in London saying "No blacks or Irish".

This isn't a political or a history themed board and I don't believe we should hold anything against Britain or British people today over what has gone on in the past anyway. I think we should all be looking to the future now and, thankfully, I think nearly everyone is doing that now.

Many escorts in Ireland are from Britain, and if anyone here was ever hostile towards a lady from Britain purely because she is British, I'd tell them right off, because there is no need for that.

But you seem to think it is acceptable to make "paddy" or implying Irish people are stupid comments wherever you like and I am here to tell you, it is not.
