    I don't see that there was any need for that comment naomi, lots of people have varacose vains, you can't get any thing from them, i have one in my leg, so i won't bother to see you either. i hope you don't get any as you get older, as women are more prone to them than men.

    That's a very ignorant thing to say. First of all what makes you think he would want to see you anyhow. He only asked for advice theres no need to be mean. It's not as if it's a permanant thing, with the proper treatment he'll be fine.
    Help Keyla in her fight with cancer. Every little helps.

    naomi,
    i dont that that comment was called for at all. i have met mucker and he is a very nice gent, who is a very genuine guy.

    As already stated varicose veins (or "very cross veins, as my mom calls them) arent a disease and you wont catch anything from them.

    Mucker you are best to check with your gp to get them sorted, even if you dont do anything about them, it is best to get them checked regularly.

    You might want to try these essential oils. Some of them can be purchased at Health food
    Stores. (there's one on South Great Georges St. Dublin D2) Tisserand, and Neal's Yard essential oils are probably the best essential oils you're going to find in Ireland. There is someone in Galway who has the Good Stuff, but I don't know who or where..

    VARICOSE VEINS;
    Make a daily massage oil by mixing ten drops of helichrysum oil and five
    drops each of lemon and cyprus oils in three tablespoons of grape-seed oil.
    This oil blend is said to help alleviate swelling and congestion in the
    veins. It is also said to relieve the typical feeling of heaviness in the
    legs that sometimes results from varicose veins

    Yarrow essentil oil
    Yarrow essential oil is used to relieve muscle pain, stomach cramps,
    infections, sinus congestion, wounds, fevers, skin inflammation, stretch
    marks and varicose veins. It is also use to support meditation and
    strengthen intuition!!!!

    Yarrow, once a sacred plant in ancient China, was valued as the perfect
    unification of yin and yang energies, since the hard, strong stem is filled
    with a soft substance.
    Yarrow's Latin name, Achillea millefolium, honors Achilles, A Greek hero of
    the Trojan wars. It is said he cured his injured Achilles tendon with this
    powerful plant.
    Native to both Europe and Asia, this perennial is grown in a lot of herb
    gardens. It can reach a height of three feet and bears fragrant, feathery
    leaves with yellow, pink or white flowers!

    The oil is extracted by steam distillation and is an age-old remedy.
    Vapors from yarrow oil are also believed to help balance opposing energies,
    assist in setting goals and increase a sense of security.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Yarrow oil is said to help relieve skin inflammation, blemishes, acne,
    itching and sunburn. Like all essential oils, yarrow oil is soluble in both
    alcohol and oil and imparts its scent in water. It makes an ideal addition
    to cosmetics, skin lotions or creams due to its antiseptic, astringent and
    anti-inflammatory qualities. The champhoraceous oil also makes a great
    toner for skin when added to either lotion or springwater. Try this blend;
    5 drops yarrow oil, 5 drops lavender oil and four ounces of springwater.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    To help reduce stretch marks and scars, rub several drops of yarrow oil on
    the affected areas every day.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    For a migraine, add a few drops of yarrow oil to a cold compress and apply
    to the forehead. For insomnia, rub a few drops on the temples, in gentle
    circular motions.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!**********************CAUTION******************!!!
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Yarrow oil can cause skin irritation in people with sensitive skin. It can
    also cause allergic reactions in some individuals. For those with sensitive
    skin, it's best to do a patch test before using yarrow oil!!!

    There's a homeopath dispensary off Dawson St. in Dublin.
    a form of alternative medicine first defined by Samuel Hahnemann in the 18th century.[1] A central thesis of homeopathy is that an ill person can be treated using a substance that can produce, in a healthy person, symptoms similar to those of the illness. Practitioners select treatments according to a patient consultation that explores the physical and psychological state[2] of the patient, both of which are considered important to selecting the remedy.[3] According to homeopaths, serial dilution, with shaking between each dilution, removes the toxic effects of the substance, while the essential qualities are retained by the diluent (water, sugar, or alcohol

    And you, might want ti seriously consider getting a good book on natural remedies, especially herbs..
