I have a similar problem I think. I generally am pretty good at keeping it clean. It has always been tight and I have difficulty pulling it back and forward. It kind of scares the crap out of me everytime I do it as I had a bad experience a few months ago. I had pulled it back to clean of the old cheddar but couldn't get it to go back over again.
