Also thatch roofs, learnt from my Grandfather, but its a ball breaking job.

Whichever I feel like doing when I wake up, or depending on weather and time of year, I go at. Don’t like to be tied down, (That’s reserved for Sundays)

What do you do best Ric…..apart from the obvious…
thats a rare one now.How many ppl are left doing this? Not many i guess.

    A skillful job,
    Westside.

If I can be so bold Ric, are you in Rural or Urban Heritage ?
I'm not in the area of thatched cottages. But I have come across the odd old structure or two.

And I'm not exclusive to either Rural or Urban heritage but both. Although most of my work has been rural. Thats all I'm saying.

As long as you didn't put them beyond restoration

Thanks Ric, It’s possible I’ve meet people that you know (unlikely I know), I have to sign the paperwork to prove it was done in the presence of a rep. from relevant department.

I’m working on a little pole right now (she sends her best btw) it’s just a bit of messing nothing serious, I been itching to do one but never knew how.

West, as regards thatching, there’s a few at it, it used to be a old mans profession, but the reverse is now the case, I just do my own and neighbors around about, it's murder on your knees, up there with powerlifting I’d say.
