What brought you into the escorting scene .
Kate: First may I say that you need to get a new pair of glasses
Before I started Escorting I was Swinging and really enjoying it. I found my sexual side late in life, being 31 when I had my first orgasm and must have come across duly grateful to the guys I got to play with, as I was often being told that I could make a fortune in this line of work.
It was no secret that I was struggling financially. I basically got into debt while taking my Degree and Post Grad, as I got divorced in the 2nd year and was left bringing up my son, who was still very young at the time. I didn't want to stop the Degree, as I thought it was our future, so I worked 2 part-time jobs and made up the rest on credit cards. Unfortunately I've never caught up on the debts and even after qualifying I was not able to earn enough to make up the short fall.

Kate : What are you like? A lady never tells!!! I am a bit of a bossy boots. If I'm not happy, I will get what I want eventually, even if it means getting in the shower with them lol.
I think I have been quietly charmed by the Irish. It's taken time to get used to the layed back nature, but I'm getting there and there always seems to be a lot of enthusiasm for an English lady, so it's always nice to be around people that are happy o be around you. Kate : Are you obviously haven't been reading my blogs. I've been fashioning a mohawk for around 4 months now, if not longer. I imagine it is porn that has made it 'fashionable' not to have anything, but you get to a certain age when you just can't help, but think it looks a bit odd not to have something down there. Kate : This is kind of a sad story. The chap that I was dating had the gift of the gab, he was very popular and a sociable creature. A month or two into dating he joined the Army. We kept in touch with the odd bluey and I really did think he loved me. I was 17 at the time. He came home on leave and we were up in my bedroom and he started asking me to do the deed with him. Kate : Hmmm... I think that depends on your perception of what is unusual lol. Having worked at a BDSM Market, I've seen alsorts. I suppose one of the most commonly requested things that I have to refuse is to do with 'foot fetish'. doc : Do you have a favourite toy and uniform you like using , during a appointment .

Kate : Can I change that a little to what would my dream job be? Anyone who knows me at all will know that I love all things artistic and creative. In my dreams I buy an old farm and I renevate the buildings to make a coffee shop, gallery, workshop building and studios. I would have all the greatest talent that are not able to fund themselves there (well maybe 7 or 8) and they would have their studio space rent free, but in return they would do workshops a couple of times a week for the general public (and me) and they could put their creations in the gallery for sale.
doc : where do you see yourself and indeed escorting in general say 5 years from now .And I ask this because you come across on boards as very well read .
Kate : In 5 years time it is likely that I won't be Escorting any more. I am looking at coming over to Ireland for a few years and re-training while I work. I'm not going to say what in, as I don't want to jeopardise it, but it I would continue to work with people and my time as an Escort has directly influenced my decision. Fingers crossed.
I think it is very hard to predict where Escorting will be in 5 years time. It really all depends on if the Swedish model is taken on board or rightfully rejected. God help us all if it does go ahead.
doc : What's you're favourite place to visit and any hobbies you enjoy .
Kate : You know something? I don't have a favourite place. I think I fall in love with most places I visit. Life is an adventure and I just want to keep going forward and discovering new places. I do love traveling and hope I continue throughout my life.
Hobbies? Too many things and I need to sort myself out. I love... painting, making things like nipple tassels, I've been learning millinery, so enjoy making hats and fascinators, love photography and writing, poetry. My problem is that I tend to dip into so many things and never have the time to do everything. This is why I need my dream job. Oh I also love live music and comedy. I've been to several music festivals and not enough live comedy. It's on the bucket list. I also love the Theatre and yes reading.
doc : describe you're perfect date , and man you would like to share this with
Kate : Omg!!!! How do I answer that? I've been single for over a decade. The last date I had was with a client, so it was actually a booking. He took me to an amazing restaurant in Cheltenham and we had a different glass of wine with each course, starting with champagne. The food was esquisite and he was really good company. I know it wasn't a 'real' date, but it made me feel special. I've never had that in my real life. My ex was a tight arse Northerner lol.
I'm relationship phobic. I actually feel tense even thinking about it now. I enjoy dates with Clients more, because I know it won't go any further. Dates make me panic, because I know there are expectations of me and I don't like it.
One thing I have learnt from Escorting is that I don't have a type. I like men who are easy to talk to and I suppose get my sense of humour, so I feel relaxed with them. Men that like me for who I am and accept that I'm a little on the nutty side (It's the artist in me). I do admire men who are intelligent or focussed. I have no desire to 'keep' a man or 'look after him', any possibe partner would need to be an equal and we would have to compliment each other. Not likely to happen lol.
doc: What do you think about the Swedish Model possibly being adopted in Ireland?
Kate: I think it is a dreadful idea. The recent media exposure shows that the Escorts that are still working in Sweden, are in much more danger and experiencing more violence and less support. Bearing in mind there is thought to be between 10% and 20% of trafficked and young women in Ireland, they are most definitely the minority (and likely much less than that), so why target the 80% that are doing nothing wrong?
Independent Escort should have the human right to earn money in a way that suits them and not forced into a situation where earning a living would mean be participating in a criminal act. There are much better examples being used in other Countries, that have reduced trafficking and generally made life better for all concerned. If they really cared, they would choose one of these methods to model, such as de-criminalizing both the Escort and the Client. Regulation, not oppression!

Kate : Only to thank all the members on the site that have kept me company over the last few years. This job can be very isolating and it's good to know any time I'm feeling a little lonely I can pop on here and talk utter drivvle, but do it with company and have the odd laugh.
