Hello Anna, Welcome to our Grand Little Country.
I’m on your humor wavelength now.
First, I did not mean for Alexi or Bigpaws to explain to you to sound like you could not understand for yourself, but to tell you in case you did not see post.
And also I thought you were Spanish from the Sound of Savicha, the ha being part sounding Latin to me, or course now that I look at it again it is Slavic I apologize, what does it mean ?
The word Elaborate is one that some people here rather I did not do, and means to explain something in more detail.
As to four Languages, Wow, I am being slagged of here for trying to speak one. There is something like the 1930’s Stalin Purges at work here I think, it says something to the closed minds of some Irish, and to learn from a book on your own is something very few could do, myself included. Anyone giving you a hard time about it should try and picture themselves trying to converse in Russian to a Russian or any Nationality and see how they would get on, I suspect they would melt, The Irish have words that we don’t really know what they are either so don’t be to concerned about it. Most Irish have two languages, English language and bad language.
If anyone has a go at you just say Feck off or I’ll cut the ‘’lee road dease’’ of off you, it means to remove surgically two rather important objects to Men.
You say Soviet. Do you mind my asking are you from Russia or the then breakaway CIS, now Independent countries (Ukraine etc.) I recall in 1991 looking at a map of what is now Russia and it being made up of over 100 regions, (I stopped counting when I got to 100) I read a lot on 1917/World War Two/Cold War/Space Race/1991/Oligarchs and know a little about Russia/USSR
I think Ireland has been graced with a Faberge fit for the Romanov's in You.
And possibility the single best Peace dividend to follow from the fall of the Berlin Wall.
