in the past, I used to use the java chat applet from Volano (not on escorting websites). I found it very good and user friendly. The software is sold at a starting price of 500 USD (is it cheap or expensive?) and can be installed on any website. This is the link:

Thanks Lino, will take a look.

Also, I forgot to say an important requirement we have is that it must be able to be integrated with this message board (vBulletin). There may be some good chat software that doesn't meet this requirement, but we'd have to give it a miss as we can't have our users haven't to use a different login for the chat room.
