I suppose being a friend calling you up to say Hi is compliment enough for me..
"I really enjoy spending time with you"or "You are great fun to be with" and you know is sincere. Simple but rare!!!
I have to admit that we as Irish guys don't compliment the opposite sex enough, correct me if I'm wrong. I am going to compliment 5 people tomorrow and see what reaction I get.

Ya but a smile, a nod or a simple hello to or from a stranger can mean so much to people..........
In such a busy world it's nice to acknowledge somebody, in even the smallest way..........
Can make a very lonely person feel that they are not infact invisable to the rest of the world...........
