Do you mean for the ladies or for people in general? I'd say its as safe as any other city or large town.

Tell Ya a good one SophieX ... a friend of mine was working as a supplier to the builders this day in Dublin & he had to call to a fairly "Hairy Place" so he brought his German Sheppard in the Van with him & when he parked up for a bit he saw the usual Suspects sniffing around like a maurading herd of animals so he put on his Tough Guy accent & said to the boys ... "I wont be long lads plus I have a wicked/clevar German Sheppard in the Van minding it for me" .... & one of the "Hardy Boys" & quick witted I must say shouted back to him .... "Aaeeee Mister does Ur German Sheppard able to put out FIRES TO" ..

    Where precisely is the centre?
Years ago distances were calculated from the GPO, and there is a milestone near where I live that is 3 Irish miles from the GPO. and country people would call that the city

The centre of a circle is a point, so what point are you trying to make

Places 4 and 5 miles from the centre are certainly not safe, and I wont mention those places by name as 95 % of the people are sound
