    Default Reviews in the past

Why are these allowed, no specific dates and times, anyone can post and gain 'trusted reviewer status' etc. in no time, at no expense, never having visited the girls. It is even worse if reviewer is already trusted. I have to say that I am disappointed in the number 1 reviewer on this site posting 2 reviews (which take him to the top of the reviewer charts), 1 of which is specific as regards time and date and 1 of which mentions a possible date in the past. Sorry, but I do not think historic reviews are acceptable, give people 48 hours or else no possibility to post. Also allow for girls who are no longer active, again 48 hours to post reviews......

Reviews without a specific date and time should never be accepted. Including reviews which list a date and time, but then say in the text that these are inaccurate. When such reviews are negative it is unfair on the escort because she (or he, if you're into that) can't check whether it was a real appointment. And it would be ridiculous to allow such reviews only when they are positive.

    There is already a rule

Why are some reviews rejected or edited or ratted?
We reject or edit or rat escort reviews submitted to us if:
    ...
    (d) The meeting was more than 3 months ago. If you try circumvent this rule by saying "not exact date" the review will not be posted.
but it doesn't seem to be enforced consistently. I would agree that three months is much too long. I would be happy with 48 hours, if we are allowed to review escorts whose profiles were up within the last 48 hours.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

    Default Ridiculous

The current syatem is totally open to abuse and if the rules are not enforced even more so. Also a reviews arbitrator should NEVER be allowed post reviews, it defeats the purpose of the position...

I think you are worrying about the wrong thing. The real problem with a punter as reviews arbitrator is a different one. After all, if a reviews arbitrator gives special treatment to his own reviews then everyone can see it. The real problem is conflict of interest. Will escorts treat a reviews mod the same way they would treat any other punter? Probably not. And if a reviews mod has received special treatment from an escort, will he then rat her reviews as enthusiastically as he rats other escorts' reviews? Maybe, but who can know?

I think Ric is an honest person, but the position he's in is an awkward one. And good systems don't rely too much on the honesty of particular individuals.

I don't really have a solution to offer. E-I staff have a different conflict of interest. The site will be understandably reluctant to ban paying advertisers, even if they are caught red handed. Escorts would also have a conflict of interest, and they would be subject to intimidation since they are much easier to find than punters or staff. Other than punters, staff and escorts, nobody would be interested in the job. So we are more or less stuck with conflicts of interest.

There are two things that can be done to reduce the opportunities for corruption.
    1) Have more people involved.
This would make things worse rather than better unless you also
    2) Have accountability, so that everyone can see who made which decisions.

Heres a newsflash ,any system, no matter what it is will be open to abuse. If you dont want abuse ,get rid of the human element. I know what youll say to this.Enforce the rules 100% on the abusers but the thing is ,its not possible to nail a lot of the abusers.

    Sincerely,
    Westside.

Let's recap...we already have a rule about reviews greater than 3 months old...so if a person puts in a date of today but states in review....I saw this girl on her last visit <insert 3, 4, 5, 6....months> or <can't remember the date but was last visit>...as far as I am concerned it should be rejected based on the rule that already exists, this is not happening.
You cannot get rid of the human element, all I am saying is that the system should be revampted (as was agreed), rules enforced, and anyone involved in doing the reviews should be independant i.e. cannot have someone who punts and arbitrates......

I'd be a favaour of having a limit on when you can make a review, but 48 hours might be a bit extreme. Something like a week might be better?

Three days should be enough time to submit a review.

we may not be able to get rid of the human element but can improve rules to punish offenders. This could be done in the case of using fake photos or say but in the case of a fake review its not so simple. there are two sides to every story. If an escort is punished for a fake review and its genuine we have a shitstorm.Likewise if a reviewer is punished for a fake review which is genuine we have a shitstorm there. This is what ppl dont realise. All that ppl have to go by is the text and an ip and whether the reviewer is known on the boards as being genuine or an escort is known as being genuine but when you look at it,its not an awful lot along the lines of accuracy. But i get what your saying about dates and specifics.

I dont agree with what your saying about a reviews mod having to be independent at all. In fact i think its easier for someone who is independent to bend the rules and get away with it.

    Westside.
