Thread: Non advertising escort thread

  1. #1

    Question Non advertising escort thread

    Been offline for a while

But this thread under the Advert Section seems to have disappeared, always thought it was a good idea, allows escorts to give advance notice of tours etc, seems a bit of a retrograde step

Or is there a good reason?

    There's no money in it.
Some people have to have the last word,
but they don't actually want you to stop talking,
as they like the sound of their own voices too much.

    Hey,
Thank you for bringing this up,
There is a good reason for it, legal reasons, they always seem good enough to me.

Please have a look here for more information:

Sorry but "legal reasons" seems like a cop out and something used to justify the unjustifiable

If an escort is already registered on the site as an escort, then surely all the checks and balances have been done, even if they aren't advertising at the time

I can appreciate EI not wanting contact info put up ie a phone number, but since any posting escort advertising/non advertising can put up a link to their own website in any forum post which will of course have contact details and probably tour info it all seems a bit futile

Surely it is in the interests of EI to allow escorts who are planning to tour and booked dates to advertise with EI to notify people in advance of the tours, it just seems irrational

    Perhaps Amylove has a point

No doubt we will have many threads now saying I wonder where such and such has gone and then after some posts lo and behold they arrive back on the scene having raised their profile, but sure that never happens!

I understand that you feel strongly about this change and by all means feel free to comment.

However before we all get carried away, familiarise yourselves with the content of this post:

I wish you to know our, Mods', take on it, as it is simple:
The decision was made by our Management and they strongly felt that this is the way forward.
I am not authorised to go into the details behind it, however you must appreciate that as hosts of the page our Management bears the cost of its running, maintenance and moderation and as such got the right to establish the rules to the company's boards.

Having said that we do care what you think and respect your opinions.
Please do continue to express yourselves, provided it is done in a tactful manner and I can assure you that you will be listened to.
    Thank you in advance,
    L

All understood, it just seems counter productive or counter intuitive, I've vented, and I actually don't feel strongly about it just feels like it lacks a rationale, or at least has little effect if it was not deleted but accept you can't go into that

But no one else seems to have a view at the moment, so I'll leave the floor open for them

It was constructive criticism (well in my mind anyway)

I do appreciate it. I really do.

You can disagree as much as you wish, do feel free to comment, but please do it with respect and I am sure all those comments will be forwarded onto our Management.
No comments which are made in a tactful manner will be deleted.
