    Default Totally Random Question

    Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?

    If nothing else, it helps to pass the time

    No, I usually only push the elevator button once, makes no difference by pushing it several times.

    On the other hand I usually press the pedestrian crossing button dozens of times, that definitely makes the little green man appear quicker!!

    I watched a NatGeo / Discovery program not too long ago on the history of elevators (yeah , lol , I knoooow ) ;

    supposedly the only button in an elevator that has no true function is the 'close door' button.

    : Supposedly it's there only to make you feel good , make you feel like you're in control.

    I don't buy it lol
    I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

    makes sense I think, you couldnt risk having someone in a lift with the power to close it on someone trying to get in or out (*squish*) or just piss taking by messing with button and having the lift stuck going nowhere at say...lunch time in the google officeblock. would bring trolling into real life that one.
    have to say I was beginning to wonder about that. Ill be waiting patiently for the door to close from now on then

    I guess I asked the question because I feel most nervous on a punt when I reach the elevator!

    And every new person who comes along also pressed the pedestrian crossing button a dozen times, on both sides of the road!!
