I wouldnt rate them at all. They fell apart after that disallowed goal, have a useless defence, cant play as a team, have a manager that looked like he prefered to be at home and their fans had no heart either.Half the team look like they hadnt being formally introdued to each other.

    useless,
    Westside.

They're the same as a team like Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Belgium etc., basically all the teams who are a slight bit above Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Romania who only qualify irregularly. Not qualifying for 2008 euros, barely making the second round in 2006. Ireland at their best would definitely beat England's usual team.

The only thing that makes them different is that they're England. They're not gawd-awful, but they're not any good at WC level either. God knows what hijinx and tricks FIFA have to pull to make them top seeds. I would rate even Italy and France's current teams above them, because Italy and France weren't in top gear during the group stages and just got caught nastily.... England were in top gear.

I notice they have a friendly against Hungary on August 11th. It's a team a bit more on their level, they can't beat brazil or germany but maybe they will beat Hungary, lol. I'm sure there's nothing more their fans want than a match like that right after the world cup.

did u know seriously Capello tells them to go to bed in the afternoon & his colleague Stuart Pearce is told to check on them looks like they were missing their afternoon naps yesterday!, a big problem in general with these lads from working class backgrounds is that they have gone soft & cannot endure the hardship of being holed up in a 5 star hotel for a few weeks also Cappello should have Played in-form players rather than leaving them on the bench or at home...

England were a joke. They have brilliant players but they dont gel together as a team. They have massive egos and wages to boot and it seems playing for ones national team isnt as financialy viable as playing for their club. Rooney couldnt score in a whorehouse for England but I bet hell score close to 30 goals next season for UTD. Im surprised they didnt give Arry Redknapp a chance as manager he cant work wonders with mediocor players, just look at Spurs

They have a manager who gets paid millions every year. At this tournament he didn't have a clue what he was doing. He's a legend at club management Madrid, Milan and nearly every other top Italian team. Even in qualifying he done a great job beating a very good Croatia side 3-0. Somethings gone wrong between then and now. When he was beating teams like Croatia he was playing players in form like Walcott at he time. Walcott didn't deserve his place later on but at that time he got it right. Now he has picked players that were out of form and Heskey for his club and yet started for England!!!. It doesn't look good when you bring players like Upson and Heskey to the World Cup. Very average players who are more suited for a lower half team or a championship team. Also bringing Carragher out of retirement showed desperation. But when you think about it they don't have that many good defenders. But i would have chosen Gary Neville ahead of him.

He didn't have a clue who his best goalkeeper was. Green should have been last in the pecking order. He and Upson came from a struggling West Ham team and their confidence can't be at the best after a season like that. Hart should have been the number one keeper. But it was too late as he didn't get much experience in the previous games. By right in previous friendlies he should have tried Hart, Dawson and choose Zamora over Heskey. Lampard and Gerrard shouldn't be playing together. It should only be one of them and the other on the bench. Also which ever one of them to play to be in a more forward position where their more dangerous.

Even by getting team selection and tactics wrong England should do better as the bulk of the team are very good players. I think also something has gone wrong in the camp. There might be one or two egos who are trying to run the show. I wouldn't be surprised if Terry is behind the unrest. The best thing to do is get rid of one or two of these no matter who they are and what they achieved in the past. I think Rooney was out of form because he isn't fully fit. He should possibly have been on the bench in the first few games to ase his way in. Gerrards been out of form all season. I think Capello should stay. If they get rid of him the same problems will still be there.

This should have been the players who were selected for the squad and then start. There are one or two players you have to play as theres very little other choice. If Rooney was fully fit he would be in instead of Defoe.

Hart, A Cole, Dawson, King(when fit), Neville, Young, Lampard, Barry, Milner, Defoe, Zamora
Help Keyla in her fight with cancer. Every little helps.
It could happen to any of us.

I would have to add Ferdinand to the defensive line and maybe even Crouch he is gangely but good. Neville is a wast of space surely tehre is a another decent right back in England
