Question Is the Euro currency on its way out?

With all the shait going on in Europe, do you think our currency is on it's way out? I personally feel, ECB has to print more dosh and devalue it, too much pride for them to pull the plug on the euro, but you just never know. Whats you take on thing?

The Euro will not be allowed to fail, politically it would be unacceptable. The Germans still remember the War and they should .

Yea,but they are thinking of asking Greece to leave Euro until it sorts itself out. From my view 120 billion to be paid back by a country, which relies heavily on tourism, will not be able to cut it. Not a hope in hell!

Things are bad at the moment and its impossible to know what will happen to the Euro. You cant believe what the media is saying. To all you thrifty Escorts out there I recommend you convert your hard earned money into Sterling or the currency of your home country. Or if you like you can post it to me and I promise to invest it wisely (on other Escorts)

I don't imagine that the Euro is going anywhere, at least not anytime soon. As was said, it would simply be an impossible move politically speaking for it to outright abandoned. There's the possibility, maybe, that Greece might go back to the Draekma, as they technically didn't meet the original conditions to be allowed into the Eurozone to begin with. As for the move being disasterous, I have to completely agree. Any country that would switch back to their old currency, whether they did so willfully or by being thrown out, the currency would be seriously devalued to the point where it wouldn't be good for anything other than toilet roll!

Yes,can't believe what the media is saying, but the boys in the ECB should start attacking the rating agencies and speculators, its those boys who are bringing the roof down on Europe! Imagine about 10-20 in those organizations can do so much harm to Europe.

Here's how I see it panning out.

Greece will be ejected from the euro, possibly Ireland and Portugal too. When it eventually becomes apparent that Italy and Spain can't stand on their own, the big boys (Germany, France) will pull out of the euro leaving everyone else to sink with a worthless currency.

Possibly this'll lead to war in Europe, who knows. This is a very serious situation and I think no possible outcome should be discounted.
