Ah ha ha ha........mm mm mmmmmmm!!!!!
Sounds like there is dirt/dust in the fan underneath the laptop.That causes the laptop to over heat and switch off.Easy fix if thats what it is.
BTW have the the laptop on your lap or bed that makes um heat faster,better to work it on a table more circulation
