    Default Patricia

    Patricia,

I fail to see how we can vote for someone to do a job, when they, themselves dont even know what that job is?!!!

What should have happened, is that you posted the job description and THEN people can see if they want to do it and others can decide if that person is then suitable for the job

So please, post exactly what the job entails, what powers they will have and what is expected

Also, who moderates the moderators, if someone disagrees with what the community moderator decides - how do they appeal?

    Thanks
    Rory

Roryman, you have spoken too late. This poll is now running, when it conludes I'm going to proposition the successful candidates (they can refuse my advances if they wish of course), and then I'll make an announcement.

    Thumbs down Patricia

I am totally against "community moderators" ................. it is absolutely impossible for any fellow poster (punter or escort) to fairly moderate.

I personally get on well with Carlos Marvado, Epsilon and Kieree but not everybody does so it there is no way they can be 100% fair which is no reflection on the gents themselves, it's just fact.
The other two "nominees" are a pair of wankers anyway so ..................

I have decided for myself that I won't be moderated by one of my peers ............... Pat you have not thought this through to even see all of the problems this will cause, in fact you have increased your future work load rather than lightened it.

It's obviously not a very popular idea when you consider the amount of members this site has in comparision to the amount of votes currently cast ................ bad bad bad idea.

    Paws
    Gone ........... and forgotten?

Its certainly not to late for many of my questions Patricia,
namely, what exactly with be expected, exactly what will be their "duties"
and who can we appeal to if we disagree with a descsion?

As I said before, I think its a cop out - a way of getting a free employee, when really you should be paying someone to be a moderator, who is impatial,
non of the proposed are impatial, they all have people they like and dont like

No it's not. In fact on the other thread I said I'd be prepared to pay community moderators in theory so how am I looking for free employees?

We've talked of possibly having community moderators many times, but it has never happened yet. Anyway, bottom line, there is no harm in giving ideas a try.

The five nominees were either nominated by their peers or nominated themselves (in the case of marijuana). Btw could some of marijuana's supporters please come out and give a fellow brother some support.

Nominations remained open for the best part of a week. As in all democratic processes, those who dont participate, can hardly complain after the event.

The purpose of this exercise is to see who the membership would like to see as Community Moderators if Patricia decides to introduce them. The final decision will rest with her as will the terms of reference......so we are relying on Patricia for guidelines.

    So......get voting!

We will have to wait and see what the membership thinks at the end of the week. But with eight votes so far , i think it says alot about the community moderators idea

I myself dont think its a great idea but maybe that coz westside and I have fallen foul of our peers on another site

    nbt
