Default Fake Reviews - Delete or Edit? - You Decide

    Hi guys,

Up until now, when I've found a review I believe is fake, I've generally left it up but added a message to it along the lines of "This review is believed to be fake because..."

Is this the best way of dealing with reviews we find fraudulent, or should we actually simply delete them? You decide and I will abide by the public vote.

And yes, I know the main thing is that we just do something about fake reviews rather than let people away with it, and I do now have a member of staff due to spend the next few days looking through the reviews and trying to find ones we can reasonably establish are fakes.

    Thank you,

    Pat x

What punter in his right mind is going to vote not to delete them.Thats the first thing.the second thing is that you ,as the one in charge of this site, have a moral obligation to ensure that it is correct and not misleading.

Allow me to help you future,

In the case of ladies having false positive reviews posted about themselves, I think some punters might think it is better to leave them up edited as otherwise all evidence of the lady's dishonest conduct has been removed?

Or maybe punters feel leaving any such review that has been deemed false up is only doing the lady a favour, because all publicity is good publicity?

I don't know how clients feel... That's why I asked the question.

    Default Fake Reviews

if you know for deffo that a review is fake then it should be deleted, some of the girls on here are opting out of the review system after getting bad reviews which in my opinion is as bad as fake reviews because you are misleading punters. if you do give a shit service it should be know...

I think the option of leaving them up with a note stating that they are fake is the best option, this would show the escort's dishonesty and also show them in a bad light, if they have to make up their own reviews they can't be very good...

I think leave them up but with a note.
That way a punter will know the escort is possibly dodgy.
If there are no reviews at all he may decide to take a chance on her.
But if there are a few reviews which are marked as "possibly fake" then he will know that the escort is in the "dodgy" category.
All in all, its better for the punter to see the fake reviews and have this information to make his decision on whether to visit or not.

yet again i find myself agreeing with westie (thats scary} any review that found to be a fake should be taken down straight away.unless there is another reason for leaving them up???????

    Thumbs up Fake Reviews

I think the current system is the best system Pat, if a review is suspected as being fake then a note saying so does more than just removing it ........... keep going as you're going!!

Some of the reviews are so fake that i suspect that they are little more than drunken pranks or a way to keep the girls name in the public view. These would be easy to delete. The majority of reviews would be more difficult as they will vary from appearing 95% genuine to 95% fake. Where do you draw the line?
For obvious reasons I will not go into details but it would be very easy for fakers to devise reviews that would pass any reasonable scrutiny even if they do not have a good command of english. Therefor, I believe that the best way to improve the review system is to devise a way to rate the credibility or status of the reviewers

The poll has ended and the vote says we should do as we do currently and leave reviews that have been deemed fake up with a note saying we believe they are fake. So, this is what we shall do. Thanks guys.

I do however note that is was a close call. Clearly a number of clients think it would be better if we deleted them, but we'll have to go with the majority...
