I've tried to upload small pictures as profile pictures but the upload always fails...

I've tried both. And in both cases I chose pictures as small as possible.

Download Picasa, it's free. Let it scan your pc, highlight the image and on the bottom click export, choose 100 pixels and hit ok. Now the image should be ok to upload

Perhaps you have them saved to your PC in a format that the site won't allow you to upload as, although I think more options were added recently. Have a look at it, I find a jpeg works best.........

Try to put the image you want here either as an image or an attachment and I'll try and upload it to your profile for you. Just to be clear, are you talking about a profile picture on your profile page, or an avatar???

I'm not trying to add a picture to a message, just get a profile picture. The pictures on my computer are small and so are the pictures the link of which I attach. Perhaps something wrong with this website...
