EP has suggested a ban on goodbyes, but I think that we should all be entitled to at least one. Here is mine.

Some time in the next two days I will be disappearing from E-I, at least for a long time and, I hope, permanently. It has been fun. I will miss nearly all of you, a few of you very much.

I will be checking my PMs very infrequently and then not at all. If, for some reason, you think you might need or want to contact me later then please PM me within the next day or two to discuss how to do so.

Yes, I know. That's one of the reasons I announced my departure. Now if I come back I will be just another Westside. My pride would never allow it.

While I would love to be an occasional visitor and contributor, I don't think that's something I am capable of. I can be either a compulsive, addicted visitor or none at all. When looked at that way the choice is clear. I am getting out while I still can.

This isn't a criticism of anyone here. There are plenty of people who can enjoy a site like this without becoming obsessive. I, unfortunately, am not one of them. That's one of several reasons why it's time for me to vanish, leaving behind only a grin.
