Default Can anyone recommend a good book

I was looking forward to having a good read ( yes read, not ride ) over the next few days and got Derren Browns 'confessions of a conjuror'.

I like Derren Brown and thought his views might be interesting, but fuck me, he is seriously up his own arse and the book is crap.

Might nip out later and buy another.

Anyone get any good books they'd recommend?

Would recommend The Chamber, The Brethren, and The Testament by John Grisham. Currently reading The Chamber and all great reading.

I prefer non-fiction, but will read anything if it's engaging.

not a big reader and it usually takes me a while to finish a book, not the sort to read a book in a weekend, but recently read "The Girl with the dragon tattoo" and couldn't put the book down.

Anyone seen the movie and is it worth watching. I suspect it will be a let down after reading the book
Thank you all the ladies I had pleasure of meeting. Forever grateful for the memories

Good call! Have heard good things about that.

Always enjoyed John Grisham books but in the mood for something different at the moment.

I used to like John Grisham, but I think I over did it with his books and they all seemed to be the same after a while. similar formula/plot, so moved on

I can save you from buying Johnny Giles book by reproducing it in full here...

Grew up in working class Dublin
Loved his mum, she was a great cook
    Dad was a drinker
Matt Busby was a great man but a bit of a cunt
Loved Leeds and they were misunderstood by everybody
Doesnt believe in tactics other than when you have the ball, you should use it and when you don't, you should try and get it back again ( genius! )
