not too sure what bulbs are available for lamps, but if it for a ceiling fitting then you might want to replace your halogen spots with LED equivalents. The halogen lights are are about 50 watts while the LED ones are only approx 3 watts, only problem you have to shop around to get a decent bulb with a warm colour. Also you can't connect them to a dimmer switch or so I'm told.Does anyone know of an energy efficient light bulb that doesn't take half the fucking day to brighten up ??

Buy the 100 watt solas bulbs and screw the environment.
Last Earth Day, every single bit of energy we saved here in the western hemisphere by turning off your lights was swallowed up by China and India in about three minutes.
