The new site... Some positivity.

I knew DevTeam would listen to us and try to make changes. I am more reassured with the positive interaction between DevTeam and the users recently in the official "Something big has happened thread". I am now willing to change my vote from "I do not like the changes" to "I will wait and see".

The first major big change was the "Reviews" section. Although I still preferred the old layout I am hopeful with the new improved. I think we are getting there. So I went back to basics and put myself in the punters shoes and went to search for an escort in Cork.

So I click on "Escorts" at the top of my screen and I get the opening Escort Search screen. The (dreaded) Map shows only the midlands, no northern nor southern counties, with "Click Numbers" that do not represent the accurate qty of escorts in that area. I would suggest lose this map as it seems to serve no purpose but to confuse.

Scroll down page and I see all the locations with the escort qty next to them. This is good. This should be above map IMO.

Scroll back up and I decide to find my desired location. Click on location drop down box and I get a list of towns in Antrim. This is bad and totally unnecessary. I suggest Kill the towns and leave the main counties. Eventually after scrolling down a few pages I find Cork (imagine trying to find Waterford... . Whereas its bad on a Desktop PC this is a disaster on a phone). I would probably prefer to use the "Cork (59)" in the scroll down below. I see I can select "verified pics" and "allows reviews", "female" etc... so I select these and click "search"

I get to the cork page. So far just a few clicks, not bad. But I notice my "verified pics" and "allows reviews" etc. selections have been lost, so I select same again and click "search" again.

I'm shown 16 escorts that qualify under my criteria. I have to click "show more" to see the full list... Why? This was in the old version as well, could never work out why. Map above does not even show cork at this time and is just taking up space on my screen.. KILL THE MAP...

So now I see all escorts in Cork. This is ok. I like this. Hover over a profile and I see some details. I like the star rating shown. I'd love if the qty of reviews could be shown at this time. Note to DevTeam: the star rating only works on the original 16 profiles and does not show on the profiles after the "show more" click.

On my phone this is not as good. I cannot see the rating as I do not have "hover" function, and the text showing name and location is illegible.

So I pick "Coral" and we go into her profile.

I like the Scrolling pics. Big and glossy. I immediately see her tour dates. scroll down and I see her stats. This is ok. The ratings on the side are a help. Scroll down more and I see her favs and intro, this is ok.

So so far I like this profile page, but there are a few things I think are missing or I don't like here.

1. Click here for phone number: Why the need for this. On the phone this is a nuisance as it can take several minutes to appear.
2. Cannot see if this escort allows reviews or not.
3. Cannot immediately see review count for this escort
4. How do I add this escort to my Favorite Escorts.

Now I click on "Gallery" and see bigger pics.. This is good.

Now I click on "Diary" and see her schedule.. This is grand. Bit confusing at first glance, but ok. Why are there times in green going across the top (12am..........8pm) Times on bar-chart show 9am - 12pm?? other times surrond the word "cork"??... confusing.

Now I click on "Reviews": Hallelujah... Review list. Much better. Red/orange/green work well. Not as compact or as neat as before but I'll get over it. On phone not as clear as there is no stars or color coding, this is a problem, as most when on phone are on the go and need a quick visual. No exact date and time. This is needed when reading a review. Indicates if an escort takes early or late bookings. If a reviewer is dissatisfied with a service is it because he booked at 4am and the poor girl was half asleep etc.. etc...

Click on "more" for a review and review is displayed. This is good. But, there is no "Less" button to close back to list. All "more" reviews stay up and you can seem to close them back to original simple review list
Click on reviewer name and you see "Reviews I have written" this is brill. Within "Reviews I have written" click on other escort he has reviewed and you see her and her reviews. This is also brill...

All in all the reviews section now is usable and taking shape.

Now.. I have seen all I want for Coral and would like to ho back to where I found her to view the next girl. This is where work is needed. For starters I cannot to STRAIGHT back, I have to go back, back, back several times to get back to the cork page. And when I do get there... I have lost my selections "Female, allows revies, Verified... etc) and must start all again. Pics are now all re-jumbled and I have lost where I left off. I cork, not a problem REALLY as there is only 50 escorts, but Dublin... disaster.

All in all I have Faith. Faith they DevTeam will get this right eventually. They have proven they are listening to us. Some of the new screens perusing reviews I liked. Lets give them a chance here.

Possibly to record how many times this was click. Possibly an indication of the popularity of a given escort and record "possibly" the number of visits.

As previously mentioned, this is very common on directory sites to prevent sites being scraped and escorts getting spam calls/texts.

Stick your number up here and see how many times it gets crawled and added to databases for PPI calls.

Agreed but how does that benefit you and me? We want to find an escort quickly and with ease, we want to view the profile quickly and with ease and we want to be able to contact the escort quickly and with ease so why all the extra clicks and difficulty? Isn't that what this site is supposed to provide for the escort and client?

It benefits you because the escorts phone isnt busy speaking to their latest PPI claim and can answer your call.

It's fair to say that the website is ' a work in progress', amendments have been made & no doubt more will follow. I have to say that my concerns about the map were taken on board & that escorts were swiftly given an option to 'opt out' of having their location listed on the street map, which I appreciated. Now is the time to be constructive about what works & what doesn't, so that DevTeam can address the issues that you guys think are not working & how to amend those issues. At least we have a website, it didn't crash completely this time around.
