    Default Trolls Creating New Profiles

Every time we see a troll banned (rightly so), the mod usually gives a list of their other user profiles. Most of the arseholes who are here to cause trouble have more than one profile, and they're invariably found out.

Why don't (and if not, why not?) mods/whoever check new profiles as they happen to make sure this isn't some troll setting himself up again? This might result in a delay to the new profile being accepted, but it might be worth it to the boards to keep us from having to suffer through their shite before banning.

i doubt that the mods can check ip addys.I would imagine only E-I staff can do this and since the mods are volunteers then i doubt they have or would be given access to addys.

IP addresses are easy to hide change or mask,

The suggestion that the current troll has the same IP address going back and that is how he is traceable suggests that he is terminally stupid but it also begs the question as to why they have not banned that Ip address rather than ban the user.

So my guess is that they are presuming it is the same character all the time or there is some other giveaway that links them or maybe EI is placing a cookie on the guys browser to identify him.
Its the Crips and the Bloods all over again
